Why do you charge for POCs when [competitor] is free?
Free vibe-coded prototypes are correct for what they do. Our POCs are verified — three critics on different models plus a red-team adversary, plus human review. That verification is what founders actually need to raise. Verified is worth paying for. Or it isn't.
How is this different from an accelerator?
Accelerators take 6–7% of your company in exchange for a cohort, mentorship, and demo day access. We take zero equity and deliver a verified POC package. Different model, different customer. Many of our founders end up in accelerators after their Kòd La POC — it's not either/or.
What if my POC doesn't unlock funding?
Roughly 20% of our founders pivot based on their validation loop or Red-Team Critic findings — they don't raise on the original thesis. That's the mesh doing its job. Founders who pivoted through Kòd La still walk away with a verified pivot decision, a working prototype, and marketplace access. That's often more valuable than the original pitch.
Do you keep any equity or IP rights?
None. Founders own everything. This is written into our terms and is not negotiable.
Can I upgrade tiers mid-build?
Yes. Any tier can upgrade to the next during the build window. We credit your paid amount and charge the difference. Downgrading is not available once build begins.
